The chairman of Khetan Group, a leading business house with businesses ranging from manufacturing and trading to banking, Khetan was involved in social, financial, religious, educational and charity organizations as well.

Khetan started working in business when he was just 15. He began with trading sugar and other agriculture products and later moved on to transport and petroleum businesses. He was a pioneer businessman in starting the exportation of non-traditional goods such as rice, jute and soap to Lhasa.

In addition, he pioneered a jute business with Europe and the U.S.

Khetan started industrial ventures in 1986 and diversified into different sectors from mine-based materials like magnesite, lead and zinc to consumer items like rice, maize products, wheat flour and polythene products.
